The original idea was to have a female protagonist who was in love with her best friend, a teenager. This angle added a unique conflict to the story.

However, when Aditya read the script, he felt that he couldn’t relate to the social dynamics presented. He didn’t fully understand the narrative from that perspective and didn’t think he was the right person to comment on it. Instead, Aditya saw the potential for a different storyline – one focusing on two guys who find themselves in love with an older girl. He wanted to portray how the hero respects and views the older girl in a sensitive manner.
Consensus and Casting Decisions
Aditya discussed his vision with producer Dinesh Vijan and writer Yogesh Chandekar, and they agreed with his approach. They decided not to cast an older man because they felt it might make the concept of love at first sight seem awkward. Instead, they believed the story would resonate better with the audience by focusing on the two young male characters.
