On July 6th, Amitabh Bachchan posted a heartfelt message on X (formerly Twitter) in response to a fan club’s tribute to Abhishek. “You are the best, Abhishek… and this is not just a father speaking. Love and blessings, always,” tweeted the 81-year-old icon, genuinely applauding Abhishek’s role in the film.

In “Bol Bachchan,” Abhishek played dual roles—Abbas Ali and a fictionalized version of himself, Abhishek Bachchan. The film, which also starred Ajay Devgn, Asin, and Prachi Desai, is remembered for its hilarious and entertaining scenes. A fan-favorite clip features Abhishek’s character fabricating a story about having three fake mothers, leading to a comical encounter with Ajay Devgn’s character, Prithviraj Raghuvanshi.

In his message, Amitabh reflected on Abhishek’s growth as an actor and his ability to take on diverse roles. This isn’t the first time Amitabh has praised his son. On the 24th anniversary of Abhishek’s debut film, “Refugee,” Amitabh commended his son’s versatility and dedication to his craft.

The father-son duo has worked together in several films, including “Bunty Aur Babli,” “Paa,” “Jhoom Barabar Jhoom,” “Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna,” “Sarkar,” and “Sarkar Raj.” Fans are eagerly awaiting their next collaboration, as hinted by Amitabh in a recent post.

Abhishek was last seen in the sports drama “Ghoomer” (2023) alongside Saiyami Kher. He is set to appear in upcoming films like “Be Happy” and an untitled project by Shoojit Sircar.

Meanwhile, Amitabh recently starred in “Kalki 2898 AD,” a Telugu science fiction film released on June 27, 2024. He portrayed Aswaththama, sharing the screen with stars like Prabhas, Kamal Haasan, Deepika Padukone, and others.
