As the highly anticipated Deadpool and Wolverine film gears up for release this week, Marvel fans are buzzing with excitement over the potential surprises in store. Speculations have ranged from royalty to music icons like Taylor Swift and Kurt Cobain, leaving everyone guessing who might join Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman on screen.
Despite press glimpsing the first 35 minutes, the film’s full roster of cameos remains tightly under wraps until opening day, adding to the intrigue.
In an exclusive interview with LADbible, Emma Corrin, known for her role as Princess Diana in The Crown, teased the star-studded atmosphere on set. “It was wild,” she shared. “You never knew who you’d bump into, which was absolutely crazy.”
Corrin hesitated, adding with a chuckle, “Honestly, I’m not sure if I can reveal anything more without risking being hunted down in my sleep by Marvel.”
In the film, Corrin portrays Cassandra Nova, the twin of Charles Xavier and a pivotal villain. While major cameos are anticipated, Corrin joins a cast that includes returning stars from the 2000s X-Men films, alongside veterans Jackman and Reynolds under director Shawn Levy’s helm.
Reflecting on her apprehensions before filming, Corrin admitted, “I was quite nervous initially. I didn’t realize how well they all knew each other.” However, she found herself immediately at ease. “From day one, I felt welcomed and included. We’ve kept in touch, chatting about our days on set. It’s been an amazing experience.”
With Deadpool and Wolverine hitting cinemas on July 25, audiences are eagerly anticipating the electrifying ensemble and surprises that await on screen.
