After Mother was released, Jennifer appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Jimmy praised her incredible performance, admitting that he was still shaken after watching the film. Curious about her experience, he asked, “How did you act in this? Did you take a long vacation after this role? This is insane.”
Jennifer, with her characteristic humor and honesty, replied, “I’ve said this before, and I don’t know if people know this or not. I got to such a low point in the film, emotionally, that I had to bring in the Kardashians,” quickly adding, “Not in person.”
Jimmy joked that the Kardashians are like a party bus, showing up to cheer people up, imagining them introducing themselves as Khloe, Kendall, and the rest of the family.
Using the Kardashians for Comfort
Jennifer explained, “I had to do this one scene where I went to a very dark place, and I’d never done anything that horrifying before. I started getting scared a couple of days before, so I asked for a tent to be away from all the extras because I didn’t know what I would do.”
To help herself through the intense scene, Jennifer set up a computer playing episodes of Keeping Up with the Kardashians. She added, “It also had little notes from the Kardashians that I had written to myself. However, I can’t share any of them because I don’t want to offend anyone; they were my personal thoughts.”
