Vergara, famous for her role in “Modern Family,” had earlier told El País that their split was due to differing views on having children. She mentioned that while Manganiello wanted kids, she did not wish to become a mother again at her age, believing it would be unfair to the child.
Manganiello’s Rebuttal
Manganiello, however, disputed this explanation. He revealed that they had indeed discussed having children early in their relationship and had even tried for the first year and a half of their marriage. He emphasized that he was supportive of Vergara’s decision not to have more children and had assured her that he would not leave if their plans to have children didn’t work out.

In his interview, Manganiello shared that their divorce was not about children but about growing apart. He said, “To be painted as if I had some sort of midlife crisis and gave an ultimatum is not who I am.” He stressed that such a portrayal was unfair and not reflective of his true character.
