Lisa Kudrow, beloved for her role as Phoebe Buffay on “Friends,” recently addressed remarks made by her co-star Jennifer Aniston about filming in front of a live audience. Aniston had mentioned that Kudrow disliked when the audience laughed before she finished her lines. Kudrow clarified her feelings during a chat with Entertainment Tonight.

Kudrow explained that while Aniston’s comments weren’t entirely inaccurate, they were somewhat exaggerated. “No, that’s not exactly right,” Kudrow said. “I only got annoyed when the audience laughed too much.”

She added, “God bless them. They were so excited to be there that sometimes the laughter would just go on longer than usual.”

Aniston had previously shared this anecdote on Variety’s Actor on Actor segment, where she recalled Kudrow’s frustration with the audience’s laughter. Aniston, known for her role as Rachel Green, humorously remembered Kudrow saying, “I’m not done! It’s not that funny.”

Despite this, both actresses have fond memories of their time on “Friends.” Aniston expressed her deep connection to the show and her co-stars, getting emotional while remembering their late friend and fellow cast member, Matthew Perry, who passed away in October 2023.

Kudrow also reminisced about Perry during her interview, sharing that she has been re-watching episodes of “Friends” in his memory.

The heartwarming reflections from Kudrow and Aniston highlight the enduring bond among the “Friends” cast and their appreciation for the fans who have supported them over the years.
