Neil Young has announced that the rest of his tour with Crazy Horse has been canceled due to illness among the band members. This news came on June 25, 2024, leaving fans wondering about the sudden change.

The cancellations affect several upcoming shows, including seven in Canada scheduled for July and three in the United States in late September. These U.S. dates included performances at the Hollywood Bowl, Eddie Vedder’s Ohana Fest in Southern California, and Kentucky’s Bourbon & Beyond Festival.

In a statement on his website, Young shared that some band members fell ill after their last concert on May 22 at Pine Knob Music Theatre in Michigan. While he did not say who specifically was sick, the decision to cancel was made to prioritize the health of everyone involved.

Young emphasized the importance of health, saying, “Health is #1. We want to stay and do more shows and more albums for you and for us.” He also left open the possibility that tickets might still be valid for future dates, but no details have been confirmed.

The organizers of Ohana Fest and Bourbon & Beyond expressed their disappointment and wished the band a speedy recovery. They also promised to announce replacement acts soon.

As fans await further updates, Neil Young and Crazy Horse remain focused on recovery, hoping to return to the stage and continue creating music for their audience.
