Renowned dancer and choreographer Shakti Mohan recently addressed rumors that she played Katrina Kaif’s body double in the iconic “Kamli” song from the 2013 film Dhoom 3.

Shakti Mohan’s Reaction to the Rumors

In an interview with Mirchi Plus, Shakti Mohan talked about an Instagram reel that claimed she was Katrina Kaif’s body double in the “Kamli” song. Shakti found the claim amusing and quickly refuted it.

“Haan ye reel mujhe bahot logon ne bheji ki aap body double ho (I saw that reel, and a lot of people shared it with me)…Just think…How can I be a body double?” Shakti asked.

Shakti pointed out a major difference between her and Katrina: “Look at her height.” She emphasized that she assisted choreographer Vaibhavi Merchant during the making of the song, standing beside her while Katrina performed.

Who Was the Real Body Double?

Shakti Mohan revealed that the actual body double for Katrina Kaif in “Kamli” was her friend Emily, who is from Paris. Shakti added humorously that she “can’t do a flip,” which is one of the challenging stunts performed in the song.

Shakti Mohan also praised Katrina Kaif’s dedication and effort in performing the song. She recalled that Katrina insisted on doing the difficult routines herself, even though they were challenging and resulted in bruises. Shakti admired Katrina’s work ethic, stating that she worked “insanely” hard on the song.
