Actor Sushmita Sen recently added a second date of birth to her Instagram bio, leaving fans puzzled and curious. She wrote, “Second D.O.B: 27/02/2023,” sparking speculation that it might be linked to her heart attack in February 2023.
This new date marks a significant event in Sushmita’s life. Last year, she confirmed surviving a massive heart attack while filming her Disney+ Hotstar show “Aarya” in Jaipur. Speaking about the incident, Sushmita shared, “It was cathartic in a sense because all of the action that you see in the trailer was shot one month after my heart attack. When Aarya gets shot, falls to the ground, and she is gasping for air, it felt like reel and real life coming together. As dark as that sounds, it was a whole new beginning for me, both personally and for Aarya on screen.”
The heart attack taught her profound life lessons. “My takeaway is this: whatever the reason, we all have a deadline. But the fact that the 24th of February wasn’t my day means that there is still a lot to be done. What a driving force that is. To know that your life has so much purpose left, so much to fulfill. It was a massive heart attack, and still, there was no damage by God’s grace. I am really, very lucky,” Sushmita told Hindustan Times.
By adding this “second birthday,” Sushmita reminds us all of the preciousness of life and the importance of recognizing second chances.
