Bollywood actor Vivek Oberoi recently opened up about his alternate career as a businessman. He explained that he turned to investing and business when his Bollywood career faced challenges, and his income from movies and events dwindled.
“I got into business even before becoming an actor,” Vivek shared with ABP Live. He recounted, “At 15, I started a small business because I had come from a boarding school, and my father, Suresh Oberoi, gave me a monthly allowance of 500 rupees. After joining Mithibai College, I wanted to take girls out on dates, but I spent my entire allowance on just one date. My father scolded me, telling me to use money wisely and be more responsible. Feeling hurt and determined, I told my mother that I didn’t want my father’s money anymore and that I would manage on my own.
To support myself, I needed money for college expenses, tea, and rickshaw fares. That’s when I accidentally started working. I did a small voice gig, hosted shows, and began earning a bit from there.”
Vivek’s early start in business laid a foundation that he could rely on during tough times in the film industry, showing his resilience and adaptability.
